
Thomas Jeffrey Hanks (born July 9th, 1956) is an American actor and film director. He is famous for his dramatic and comedic role. He is an American iconic cultural figure. Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was the father of Janet Marylyn, a hospital worker, and Amos Mefford Hanks (an itinerant chef). His mother, initially referred to "Fraga" was part of part of a Portuguese family. He did not have any experience in acting in college and credits his inability get a role in a college production as the reason for his beginning career. He auditioned in downtown Cleveland for the community theatre show. After that, he was invited to Cleveland by the director. That was the point where his acting career started.
