Sharon Yvonne Stone is the sole daughter born to Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, an engineer and tool maker. She was also a worker in a factory. Sharon was born on 10 March 1958, at Meadville Pennsylvania. Three siblings are hers: Michael, Kelly, and Patrick. Stone was considered to be academically gifted when she started the second grades at five. She was a graduate of Saegertown High School, located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. She also competed in Saegertown's Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, winning Miss Crawford County. Stone relocated to New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt in order to explore a career as models. Within a month, Stone signed up for the Ford Modeling Agency. The next stage was Europe in the course of a year living in Milan, Paris and other cities. Stone but was dissatisfied with Europe with the modelling industry and opted to go to acting. In her 20s, she starred in the film of Woody Allen "Stardust Memories," that received mixed praises.
