Aspen Ladd started her combat sport career when she was 14 years old. After a kickboxing training session, BJJ and wrestling she was able to make her debut as an amateur against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was only 18. Ladd was able to build on her victory and continued her three-fight win streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her adversaries in the very first round in each fight. Then she took on WCFC to win again, beating Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen as she beat her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's records as an amateur were affected. Ladd rebounded from her loss with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, increasing her record to 8-1. Aspen was signed to Invicta FC in 2015 to make her professional d but. Invicta 11 saw her slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. The next time she fought, she won against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then moved to bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen defeated McGill by wrestling her to the ground and ended her fight in the third round by TKO. Aspen later faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy in an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd was not able to make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy up to the point where she finished her with a TKO. Invicta FC21 was her last match for the company. The winner was Sijara Ebanks by unanimous decision. Her UFC debut was in UFC Fight Night 118 where she took on Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina as she pound her down to pick up a second-round TKO victory. She remained dominant and racked up an impressive victory in her next fight against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229. Ladd was able to beat Evinger to the punch in the first round and got a Performance of The Night prize. Her first major fight came with her next bout in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against.
